Ingredients
Boneless skinless chicken breasts sliced lengthwise
Kosher salt
Black pepper
Turkey bacon chopped using Applegate Uncured Turkey Bacon, Butterball Turkey Bacon, or Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon
Chicken broth
Dried parsley
Dried dill
Dried chives
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Light cream cheese cubed using Philadelphia Cream Cheese or Organic Valley Cream Cheese
Shredded cheddar cheese using Tillamook Sharp Cheddar or Cabot Cheddar
Instructions
Slice each chicken breast lengthwise into even cutlets and season both sides with salt and pepper
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the chopped turkey bacon until lightly crisp then remove and set aside leaving a small amount of fat in the pan
Add the chicken cutlets to the same skillet and cook on both sides until golden and fully cooked then remove and keep warm
Reduce the heat to medium and pour in the chicken broth while scraping up the browned bits from the pan
Stir in parsley dill chives garlic powder and onion powder and allow the mixture to simmer gently
Add the cubed cream cheese and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth
Remove the skillet from direct heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until creamy
Add the turkey bacon back into the sauce and mix evenly
Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top before serving warm
Notes
Remove excess fat from the skillet after cooking the turkey bacon to prevent the sauce from becoming greasy
Keep the heat moderate when melting cheese to maintain a smooth texture
Allow the cream cheese to soften slightly before adding for easier melting
