Description

These Gluten-Free Honey Sesame Chicken Bites are a quick and flavorful main dish made with tender chicken breast, natural honey, sesame seeds, and aromatic seasonings. They caramelize beautifully in the skillet for a sweet, savory glaze that’s perfect for any mealtime.

Ingredients

2 lbs chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

5 tablespoons honey, divided

2 tablespoons sesame seeds, divided

1 teaspoon ground ginger

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

1. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a large skillet or frying pan and heat over medium heat.

2. Add the bite-sized chicken breast, 3 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, ground ginger, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

3. Mix everything together until well combined.

4. Let the chicken sit for 5–7 minutes before stirring. Mix again and let it sit another 5–7 minutes, until the chicken is no longer pink and cooked through.

5. Increase the heat to medium-high, then add the remaining 2 tablespoons honey and 1 tablespoon sesame seeds.

6. Cook until the chicken caramelizes, about 1½ minutes without stirring, then 2½ minutes stirring often.

7. Sprinkle extra sesame seeds before serving for a glossy finish.

Notes

Instead of honey, you can use maple syrup for a different flavor.

Fresh ginger can be used instead of ground ginger for a bolder taste.

Serve with steamed vegetables or jasmine rice for a complete meal.
